While watching the movie "Stranger than Fiction" tonight, I noticed this round window. It looked so much like my porthole, that I decided to try and make it.

What you will need:

Psp 7.04 or greater
Eye Candy 5: Impact
Presets and selections
For users of psp 8 and above, screenshots of the presets are included in the zip.

  1. Open a new image, 500x500, 16m colors, transparent background.
  2. Make a new layer and call it frame.
  3. Load rim.sel and flood fill with #C5BEB3 or any other color you want. Deselect.
  4. Same layer, load window2.sel and flood fill with same color. Deselect.
  5. Go to Effects/Texture effects/Texture and apply the k-stucco preset.
  6. Same layer, load window1.sel.
  7. Go to Effects/3D effects/Inner Bevel and apply the k-window preset. Deselect.
  8. Stay on the same layer, and repeat above steps for selections, window1a, window1b, window1c and window2.
  9. Add a new layer, name it inner edge and move it below the frame layer.
  10. Load rimedge.sel and flood fill it with a darker shade of your original color. Deselect.
  11. Apply same inner bevel.
  12. Make a new layer, name it glass and move it below your inner edge layer.
  13. Load glass.sel.
  14. Go to Effects/Plug-in Filters/Eye Candy 5: Impact-Glass and use the Opaque Black with Reflection preset. I used the palmtrees reflection, under Lighting.
  15. Deselect.
  16. Hide layer 1 and merge remaining layers.
  17. Flood fill layer 1 with a good brick texture, or stucco or whatever you want for your wall.
  18. Make the merged layer active, click on the outside of the window with your magic wand, then invert selection.
  19. Make layer 1 active and go to Effects/3D effects/Outer Bevel and apply the k-outeredge preset.
  20. Voila!!! A nice round window.
