While watching the movie "Stranger than Fiction" tonight, I noticed this round window. It looked so much like my porthole, that I decided to
try and make it.
What you will need:
Psp 7.04 or greater
Eye Candy 5: Impact
Presets and selections For users of psp 8 and above, screenshots of the presets are included in the zip.
- Open a new image, 500x500, 16m colors, transparent background.
- Make a new layer and call it frame.
- Load rim.sel and flood fill with #C5BEB3 or any other color you want. Deselect.
- Same layer, load window2.sel and flood fill with same color. Deselect.
- Go to Effects/Texture effects/Texture and apply the k-stucco preset.
- Same layer, load window1.sel.
- Go to Effects/3D effects/Inner Bevel and apply the k-window preset. Deselect.
- Stay on the same layer, and repeat above steps for selections, window1a, window1b, window1c and window2.
- Add a new layer, name it inner edge and move it below the frame layer.
- Load rimedge.sel and flood fill it with a darker shade of your original color. Deselect.
- Apply same inner bevel.
- Make a new layer, name it glass and move it below your inner edge layer.
- Load glass.sel.
- Go to Effects/Plug-in Filters/Eye Candy 5: Impact-Glass and use the Opaque Black with Reflection preset. I used the palmtrees reflection, under Lighting.
- Deselect.
- Hide layer 1 and merge remaining layers.
- Flood fill layer 1 with a good brick texture, or stucco or whatever you want for your wall.
- Make the merged layer active, click on the outside of the window with your magic wand, then invert selection.
- Make layer 1 active and go to Effects/3D effects/Outer Bevel and apply the k-outeredge preset.
- Voila!!! A nice round window.
